Sorry to ask numpty questions, but how does it work - can I buy the ticket at the venue? And how much (ish) would a class entry fee be for a BSJA class? I'm hoping to do BE PN and (maybe) a Novice next season, so would I need to be jumping Discovery/Newcomers?

And finally, for Glos people, if I jump at Hartpury/Summerhouse/Bromyard is there much difference between their affiliated and unaffiliated SJ classes? Unaff seems to be the cheaper option - I just want something which replicates a BE SJ course please!

Hi, you can buy a ticket at the venue, I think they are £6 per class on top of your £8 - £12 9ish) entry fee - you can't win any prize money so it's a bit cr*p really!

Discovery is 1m and NC 1.10 so they are about PN, Novice height, although probably more technical.

Hope this helps!

Or..............
Trailblazers are unafill and go upto 1.05m plus a double clear quals u for the second round.
Courses are upto BSJA standard usually and are only normal unaffil costs to enter.
Just another idea

Hartpury and Summerhouse I'd say build roughly the same as affiliated, but they do seem to make oxers wider and Hartpury add more fillers.

Hartpury build tiny though in first round then put it up quite a bit for the jump off!

Summerhouse build about average.

British Novice & Discovery classes are normally about £12 each to enter. On top of that there would be the £6 ticket which you can purchase when you book in at the venue.

I had forgotten about Trailblazers so will have a look round and find out who does that (think Forest of Dean EC do) then get some dates booked into my diary - oh god, I hate SJ too
