Has anyone done this?

We have taken on an ex eventer with the affliction, no intention to compete but as he is only 12 and been doing BE90/100 I was intrigued to know how many other horses are out there.

Not that many years ago cushings ( IF diagnosed) was a 'short sentence' to pts!

Thank you all

if he is on prascend i dont think he can compete affiliated anyway........my mare was diagnosed in 2011 and she was fine on the medication, she was hacked daily until march 2016 and her quality of life started to go down and i had her PTS in september as the medication wasnt controlling her symptoms. i think quite a few horses go on for much longer than that so as long as the medication controls the symptoms you can look forward to having him for a long time....

I still show at unaffiliated shows with my cushings mare (diagnosed at 9) she's only on 1/2 tablet a day though.

I think this is a duplicate thread. Pergolide / prascend is banned in competition for all except pony club. Obviously unaffiliated shows don't test so you can compete with any banned substance there!
