Could anyone advise on a competition yard in SW London? I live in Surbiton and am looking for somewhere to keep my event horse, but don't mind a dressage, SJ or general competition yard. Preferably have the option of individual turnout, a large school, and regular trainers coming in/on site.

Any suggestions most appreciated!
Thanks.

I used to live in Surbiton up until last year for uni and can honestly say i'd be surprised if anyone around there knew what a horse was let alone have a livery yard lol.
I don't think i know of anything, although i did remember seeing quite a big yard in Epsom on the way to the ASDA's there, although not sure if it was competition or just normal livery yard though? Have you looked in the Richmond area, they may have one there?
Sorry not much help at all i know.

Thanks

Yeah I've had a look around and know I may need to go out west or down towards Epsom and maybe towards Guildford but I'm just struggling to find somewhere with decent facilities and turnout because I'm not familiar with the area. I know these things aren't so common close to London, just wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere!

Pah!! I lived in Surbiton for years and kept horses in Claygate! Although it wasnt a competition yard so not a great deal of help............... although Manor farm in Claygate does have good facilities, although no individual turnout I dont think!

i dont know any london way but there are quite a few nice yards in epsom and langley vale as well as walton on the hill.
it might be worth going to some tack/feed shops around the area and asking about, some one might know of the perfect yard.

I live in Thames Ditton so about 2 mins from you. I keep my horse in Worplesdon (Guildford) as it is the closest yard that suits us both.

There are loads of yards in Epsom, and a couple of lovely competition yards but they don't come cheap!

As someone else said there are a few yards in Claygate/ Cobham and surrounding areas but I am yet to find one geared up for competition horses.

Hope that helps, PM me if you want any info on specific yards. I have looked at most around here and been at a couple over the years!

I live in Surbiton and really struggled to find competition livery anywhere nearby. I keep my horses on an eventing yard down in Reigate. Takes about 25-30 minutes to get there but is worth it for the facilities - individual turn out, dressage and sj arenas and xc course. Let me know if you want any further details.
