Came home today after spending the last few days at my parents.
Needless to say, went to see the ponies asap
Pabs had the weekend off whilst I wasn't here, so hadn't done anything and managed to get himself FILTHY so he had a good long bath and was loving it large. Took him for a ride...and it started tipping it down and blowing a gale and had to ride past the straw bales being collected up. He was more awake than normal [though, that doesn't take a lot as his 'normal' is positively sleep-riding lol] but remained a good boy as normal, so we can add 'ridden in a blowing gale' and 'straw lobbers' to his checked off list.
Anyway....then went to see my motley crew
Bustie had managed to break out his field, but I couldn't bring myself to be annoyed by him as when I walked in he looked up, nickered and came walking over out where he'd escaped to, back in the field and shoved his head in my chest as if to say 'Sorry Mom!'. So all was forgiven. Bless him.
So then went to see Casspot pony. She was right down the far end of the field, down the bank. I called her just before I climbed over the gate, and all I got was a chorus of whinnies from her, and she'd come trotting flat out up to the gate before I'd even set foot on the other side! So gave her a fuss, and went to check the other 13 or so others in her field, and there she followed, stuck to my shoulder.
And Sparks...well he whinnied and leapt around in the barn when I turned up there. But, he always does XD So nothing new there lol.
At least I've got horses who seem happy to see me anyway!
Sorry, I'm a soppy soft cow sometimes but put a smile on my face!
Shall take them out for a ride tomorrow. Ponykins has a show this weekend hopefully, and Bustie, I've decided to finally bring back into work as I shall take him out hunting again I think nearer xmas time...Not ridden him hardly this year!
