Completely random stolen beagles question

I passed a beagle in the street today and it set me thinking about the pack that was stolen years ago (can't remember where from). I think it was about 10 years ago? Were any of them ever found? They are not dogs you see around that much so I would have thought it would have been quite difficult to keep them hidden.

Just wondering.

Have just been googling and apparently only one of them was recovered. Extraordinary. Where could you hide that many beagles?

It was the Wye college pack - Some were found beaten to death in a hedgerow just after it happened one was found amatuerly castrated soon after.
We had 2 8week old pups stolen 2 years ago from the yard and we never heard a thing .
Hounds are always tattooed in an ear so if in doubt check - a few years ago i was in a local pub and a couple of what i would call tree hugger types came in with a couple of older beagle's on leads the people were quite cagey when i asked them about the hounds and forever afterwards i wished i have somehow lifted there ears just to see .

In 2005 the Essex & Suffolk kennels were attacked. Anti-hunting activists released 82 hounds and 5 horses, before opening the main gates in the hope they'd stray onto the road.

And they like to brand themselves animal lovers....

Utter scumbags. It was 9 years ago, round about this time. The only one recovered ended up in a vets in Bristol with a bodged castration and attempted removal of it's tattoo. Rest were never found and assumed killled by the ALF, so called animal lovers. Horrible, horrible people with not a clue or ounce of commonsense towards hounds.
