Complicated Hormonal Mare

Mare complicated sort.
Regumate taken off for winter, felt was making her worse
Recently stabled as needed to reduce feed intake to trail usage following marginally high liver/ muscle enzymes in blood.
Put back on grass over past week again showing aggressive behaviour with rug changes and when first approached in morning with headcollar.
Back in stable to reduce intake back to almost nothing then start to increase work again. Help needed we keep having to go back to the start and try again with no change in the outcome

I had a similar problem with my mare, she was continually in season and stroppy, I put her on 'frisky mare' supplement and shes been fine every since.

Agnus Castus and Brewers Yeast. Loads of places sell it if you google it. Huge difference in my two mares after just 1 week on them.

Was she better on Regumate when on it before the winter?? The 'aggressive' behaviour would concern me - have you had her ovaries scanned??

Hi,

It is herbal but its about £25 for a months supply somebody recommended Agnus Castus which is the ingredient in Frisky Mare and a quarter of the price for 1kg so should last a lot longer!
