Any help/experience appreciated. My mare had a fractured tooth removed with complications that resulted in a root extraction through her cheek. Recovery has been slow with a sequestrum (dead bone) removed a few weeks later. Healing was expected to follow but a few days later a huge abscess erupted under her jaw. X Ray's not conclusive. Four weeks later whilst smaller in size it continues to produce continuous yellow puss. Help please on causes and potential timescales to recovery.
