The letters purporting to come from the Countryside Alliance do not in fact do so.

While these letters are very funny they do not represent the position of the Countryside Alliance regarding the Hunting Act.

The Hunting Act 2004 makes it illegal to flush out animals unless certain strict conditions are met. These include the use of no more than two dogs and that reasonable steps are taken to ensure that the wild mammals are shot as soon as possible. This is how the law is understood by the Alliance, LACS and the Government.

This stipulation is just another example of a deeply unjust law. In this case it borders on insanity.

The Countryside Alliance does not condone breaking the law.

Aesop, with the greatest respect the letters weren't "purporting to come from the Countryside Alliance". They were in fact sent by the "Alliance", or the "Alliance for Rural Sporting Enquiries" to give the full title (you can work out the acronym yourself). It's run on a voluntary basis and funded entirely by a bequest from the late Dame Barbara Cartland. As you may know Dame Barbara was a keen supporter of country pursuits, which formed the backdrop to perhaps her greatest novel "Lady Jemima's Whip".

Be that as it may and whoever you are. It is clear that you are managing to persuade even those opposed to hunting that the law is deeply flawed. That is a considerable achievement.

The fact that you support this character is a disgrace.

Can I just remind you of what he gets up to:

1) He regularly threatens people with forced rape by his bull in order to get his way. Indeed he has had a forum members boyfriend raped by his bull in this way.

2) Our information is that inspite of his claims to the contrary he does actually get his dogs to kill red deer after chasing them for many hours across Exmoor.

3) He has a conviction for GBH against the sanctuaries manager at Baronsdown who attempted to prevent him hunting deer with a pack of dogs on the LACS deer sanctuary.

4) He actively campaigns for more large scale nuclear accidents.

A perfectly good explanation for that incident was furnished and accepted by the courts. The poor man tripped whilst dressed as a pantomine cow and got his head stuck between the bars of the gate to the bull pen. The rest is history..

If you had answered it was from the either of these places I might have believed you but you said YES when I asked if it was from CA (I am assuming you didn't think it was talking about Charleton Athletic)
