i'm not expecting much from the show as it'll be both our first times ever as she's got lumpy legs and is a little too small for MW but maybe too chunky for LW! but it's only local level for fun - but i'll still do what i can to at least not be laughed out the ring lol!!

(topline is work in oprogress btw! ;))

and how are these for plaits for hunter classes?! this is how i plait for hunting... would more/smaller help?!

She looks a smashing sort, will do fine at local level. Plaits for hunters need to be quite chunky, only up to 9 and try and get them to sit up higher if you can to make the neck look deeper. I would also take a little more off the bottom of her tail and pull it really well at the top to show off her quarters. Good luck and have a great time

From my limited experience, I would say either class would be fine. However, anything more and I suspect workers would be the way to go.

Also heading to show this sat, doing workers with my fit event horse :p Possibly LW or RH as well depending on what time it starts :)

What height is she? Because you could do small hunter if about 15.2 :)
Don't worry about condition :)

thanks for comments guys :D

she's 16hhish (i've never measured her in the nearly 2 years of ownership lol!!)

and 9inches of bone (and that's with her tied in at the knee!) = so yup- too small for MW and a bit too chunky maybe for LW?! she actually surprises everyone who meets her as from piccies she looks far more LW than she is!

i know we'd never get far in ridden - it's more to learn how to show her off etc and get her used to the atmosphere - but i'm hopefull for WH as she's quite a careful jumper and when she works well she seems to turn heads! :)

however - she's also a typical stroppy mare and can have a tantrum occasionally and go round poking her head out like a lama! doh! so it'll be hit and miss whatever we do lol!

lucky i'm not overly competative and am doing it for fun!! ;)

i'm up in perthshire - doing inchoonans spring show on the 8th may, BHS show on 16th, SRC show on 30 and grass sickness show on 6th june!!
