Condition scoring horses

Hi,

How do you condition score a horse?

I'm asking basically to help manage the weight of my horses.
I dont believe 3 of them are fat but one is concerning me although he is currently losing weight and isn't that bad - I dont think??
Well he's not compared to other cobs at my yard, some are a lot chunkier.
I know there build dictates a roundness about them, but I think cobs can get overweight way to easily and it go maybe more unnoticed compared to say a TB or similar type horse.

Just to add to the question, anyone know where one can buy condition cards from? I tried at my saddlers but they didn't have them. Got the weigh tape.

OP - you're right re. cobs putting on weight easily and keeping it on (and it being hard to get it off!). Someone is now bound to post to say the opposite about a cob they own or know lol. Little Cob piled it on when he had to stop work :(. We've found that D1 playing with him in the school has helped, as has putting him a restricted grazing paddock with Little Lad.
