I have spent ages trying to find a sutiable horse in the wilts, berkshire, hampshire areas etc but just can't find one that sounds right!

Any ideas- confidence giver for a older lady, will hack alone, sensible, not too fussed on jumping or shows. 14.2 - 15.3 - age max. 14

can anyone point me in the right direction or find an advert on the internet... thanks.

Do you have a budget?

Me too, in North Somerset! I don't have an upper age limit so oldies welcome. Between 14.2hh and 15hh for me though as we all want to share it. A proper 'famliy pony'!

Have you tried Breed Society websites? I am a Cleveland Bay enthusiast and have three mares 15.2/3hh. They are steady and sensible. (You can ask for an announcement of www.southernclevelandbayclub.co.uk)

I also have a bomb proof Highland Pony and love Dales and Fell ponies. You could put a request on their websites too.

Have you tried the rescue charities?

I have a perfect 15.1hh mare that hacks out on her own or in company and is very sensible. She also jumps 1.10 m tracks so has a decent price tag! oh and she's chestnut which will put 85% off. Any takers? LOL!

Bets way to find one is to put up WANTED posters describing exactly what you are looking for in your local tack shops, feed merchants, livery yards. Also give some to your local vets, farriers and riding instructors.

This also means you can try them out several times as they are local and also locals will know their true history and character.

This is how I have found mine in the past.
