This is one of my horses (ie. not a pre-buy question or anything). I KNOW he doesn't have great confirmation, even I can see that and I dont DO confirmation! He does well at what he does so thats all that matters! And I KNOW he looks terribly slim, but that's just the way he is - he maintains this weight all year round no matter what conditioning feeds he gets so I guess its just his build! He events so more acceptable I hope! (Ignore the person in the picture, I have terrible confirmation

So what are your opinions of:

I don't really do confirmation either but I'll tell you this - he's got way better confirmation than mine!

Seriously though I think he looks very nice.

It's not easy to tell from that pic...... but, maybe a bit close in front, and something not perfect about his front pasterns ; a bit downhill looking- but you want good galloping legs on an eventer, so it's not all bad. Prehaps short through the neck, but he's turning towards the camera.

I like him though! What do you think is so bad with him?

Oh good grief, sorry for the spelling mistake - what an idiot!

I guess that I think he's not exactly rounded so I think he looks weak in places like his back end and he lacks any topline! And he has a very short back (maybe you cant tell due to angle of photo) hence why is was hell finding a saddle short enough in the seat!

BTW, thats a thistle marked in chalk on the darkish grey bit on his thigh in case anyone thought he had very odd markings!

I really like him. he has a lovely head, his feet "match" and he has good pasturn angles. He is slightly weak in his hind leg, but has a good hock angle, nice deep girth and big shoulder with a well set neck, although he is slightly downhill. He looks to be slightly slab sided. His bottom looks weaker because of his HUGE shoulder, but generally everything matches and there is nothing to dislike.

I really, really like him. I'm not great at assessing pics for conformation but he looks nice and deep through the girth, front pasterns don't appear to match but good length of neck and a kind look. I wouldn't turn him down anyway...
