Those pasterns, with how far in front the hoof is in front of the leg would put me off if looking for a jumping pony. I would also prefer to have the whole front leg a little more forward to make her properly up hill.

also, depending on age, she is quite bum high. Quite a shallow hind quarter.

Those front pasterns do detract from the overall look of the pony.

I would get the hoof polish stripped off before the vetting so the vet can see fillers and cracks and quality properly. I've known people caught out badly by that level of hoof painting.

Sorry to be pedantic but it is conformation.

How old is the pony and what has she been doing?

Horses can have excellent conformation but not do the job either physically or mentally whilst others with less than perfect conformation do the job perfectly well.

It would also depend to what level your daughter would like to compete.

I do agree with the others that the front leg/hooves look rather ungainly.

Thanks for all your reply’s, this is what I thought ? pasterns ... pony is 4 and has been schooled , started some jumping, looking for one to jump 90/95 sj/ xc , once ready, but as she gets older might want to do more moves lovely and seems scopey.

Is it a Connie? If so, ask if it's been tested for HWSS and definitely get the paint off those feet.
.
Yes full Connie from class 1 , has been tested n/n . Just thought pasterns looked a little long and as wanted to jump didn’t want to cause an problems. Only 4 at the moment.
