This is my warmblood that has just turned 5. She has a very short back and is still bum high and under developed showing slightly dipped back. I think from those photos that it's likely that she has some degree of sway back. At that age I hope you could improve it a lot with physio targeted at improving her core strength. Do you have a competent physio who can help you?

We have started physio now and working on her core to hope it improves. Was kind of hoping that a few years on her may improve it to. I’m hoping it doesn’t cause any problems for the future ?
She is very tight in her back so gone back to very basic core work.

Is she currently in work? In hand work and core strength building could make a noticeable difference I’d think. She looks a little ‘saggy’- has she been a brood mare?

I have a gelding that can look a bit like that if his out of work he just sags in the middle, lots of core strength work like raised poles and proper riding so you are getting them to lift the back, lateral work also helps but you need to feel when they are really working through there back so a good instructor helps, lots of carrot stretches everyday and a good saddle that fits correctly is essential.

Ours loses top line quickly if his core isn't engaged.

I do tummy lifts before and after riding, tail pulls, carrot stretches after exercise - all daily. There is no miracle cure but engaging the core and stretching for suppleness, as well as reminding him of his back and tummy muscles will all help.

Combine this will pole work and also have an instructor or someone to watch you as it can be very difficult to feel the lift and keep it there.

Also make sure your saddle and bridle is well fitted. Even a slightly ill fitting bridle will prevent you from getting the lift you need and of course a poorly fitting saddle is the number one thing you don't want.
