The first thing that hit me was, what a long neck.

I would try getting a better photo.

The horse needs to be stood square and the person taking the photo needs to be square on to the side of the horse.

as the horse is at an angle to the photographer its hard to judge.

Agree - by the angle of the picture it looks like a horses head and neck on a ponies body - and I'm sure that's not the case! Looks a lovely chap though - weight/condition wise I would say he's spot on!

And try to get him on level ground next time, as he is standing on stony ground, giving the impression of upright pasterns. Got to keep nagging the 'togs to take better snaps
