Mine has slightly long pasterns, and is a little toe out (less so now that he has grown into his legs though) and never had any problems yet. We do lots of roadwork hacking, BSJA and RC eventing.
He doesn't have very long ones, and you maybe wouldn't almost notice, unless you were really looking.
Had a youngster with long pasterns. He had no problems but just couldnt really jump much height, so we sold him on to a home that just wanted to do local stuff and jump small heights
i had a mare with long pasterns who has numerous soundness issues, foot balance problems etc.
would never have another and i am now much hotter on lower limb conformation when buying horses and have turned numerous horses down for this very fault
as millitiger - long pasterns and poor foot balance / Hoof Pastern axis. Horse now retired as unsound with navicular syndrome and various soft tissue damage caused by the stress of poor confirmation.
Have a near 4 year old , Never had any problems and I would say she has got quite long pasterns but at a good angle . Foot balance at this age seems fine .
