Confused - can anyone explain?

A friend of mine (jockey) used to ride a horse called Primative Streak (going back quite a few years now!). Anyway, do you remember the tragic fall eventing a few years ago where Caroline Pratt was killed? Well, her horse was also called Primitive Streak and it got me wondering at the time whether it had been the same horse. Someone mentioned something the other day that got me thinking this again, so I had a look on the BE website and found this..

and on Racing Post and got this...

So, would appear to have been the same horse. But according to the records, it was racing and eventing at the same time!

Any explanations? Or am I missing something?

they have different birth dates, one says 92 the other says 91. Could be full siblings and if in different sectors could have same names.

Slightly off subject but thanks for posting racing post link, just looked up our old horses records. Was told he wasn't a very good racehorse and figures prove it.

Very interesting. I hadn't noticed that about the age, but you are right. Although very odd, don't you think to have full brothers with the same name?

It is strange, have been trying to get info on mare to see if she had two foals from same sire but hitting a few brick walls, there is also a chestnut mare in america called primitive streak but she was only born in 2006! its obviously a popular name!
