Are you sure you need a rug at all? These days people seem to want to rug up anything with four legs. I'm sure horses that are not being worked, so don't need clipping, are much happier and more comfortable with just their natural coat on.

Your section A doesn't need a rug unless it is clipped.

A foal won't need a rug unless it is extremely 'non-hardy'. I used to work at a thoroughbred stud (breeding racehorses) and none of the horses or foals were ever rugged at all. They were in overnight in winter and they developed enough coat not to need rugs, even as TBs, as they weren't clipped.

Most unclipped horses with rugs only need a rug because using the rug has stopped their coats growing. Viscious circle.

Are you buying one just to make your foal look 'cute'. Please put its welfare first and that means let it just have its own natural coat.

my horses are kept out all year, and they are high up with hardly any hedge shelter, i rug both my boys in winter, i dont want a rug to make him look cute! just want to make sure he doesnt freeze, i wont be buying him a heavy weight, they all wear medium weights,

Masta do a foal rug up to 5' but you may have to hunt around for it. I found mine (albeit 18 months ago) by ringing random saddleries that stocked Masta's - I got lucky!!
