My welsh sec a mare has never had any problems with her legs, but a couple of weeks ago her back legs started to fill overnight (shes out 24/7) i was a bit confused that it wasnt every night but scattered like filled one day then not for 2 then filled for 3 days. But she wasnt lame so i wasnt worried but then after about a week of that one of her hind tendons was v.swollen and hot so i took her into her stable overnight to see how she was in the morning.

Still lame but not as swollen the next morning so i left her in and bandaged her legs for support thinking she had sprained a tendon. The next day the swelling was gone and she was totally sound so i turned her out and had no problems for 3 days then it was hot and swollen again.

Before people jump on me my vet is out monday for her vaccs so am going to ask her then, but im just curious, has anyone experianced anything simmilar?

Didnt want to read and run so yes only the vet can truely tell you whats wrong as the symptoms can be something or nothing. I would be careful to restrict her access to rich grass as a precaution and keep an eye on her heart rate and temperature as that can indicate an infection that requires a more urgent appointment
Good luck x

Could she be running around in the field?

If it was an injury you would think they would fill more in the stables then be better when out moving in the field.
