Hi,
My horse came home from cubbing on Friday and felt about 5% off but couldn't put my finger on it. He had a tiny bit of heat in his off hind midway down his leg in front but no swelling on Sat. He was resting his foot in the field which I thought was slightly unusual. I got on him to see how he felt and his back felt slightly up compared to usual. We did a trot and he was rushing quite a bit with his head in the air. We came home and I left him in his box for an hour so I could trot him up when my other half came home. Was lame in front.
Trotted him up yesterday - he was fine. He's had 2 days off and I was thinking about walking him out to see how he felt - he's much easier to tell whilst being ridden.
Any ideas? His legs are totally cold and hard. There is no heat in his feet. He is totally happy in himself.
Could he have just pulled something slightly and been a bit sore?
