Yes the scores on the doors are there. both individual and team bronzes but but but they were rather 'lucky' in that both medals were achieved through the misfortune of the dutch.

At the end of the day, the results are what they are....they were achieved by consistency over the 4 days and 5 rounds of jumping. You could say Nick was unlucky to have a pole in each of yesterdays rounds...if he hadn't then he would have won gold. You could say Billy Twomey was unlucky to have 3 down on thursday. There are always going to be tales of what if.

Remember, GBR won their medals with a severely depleted team....no Amsi, no Talan...two horses jumping their first season of intetnational competition and one horse just back from injury.

Let's not take anything away frpm whay they achieved in Madrid...it was a bl**dy good performance.

Yes you are right they did really well but I guess I was making the point that it could so easily have been a no medal situation in both team and individual events and there is no room for complacency.

Nick and Carlo were instrumental in bringing home medals and all credit to GW who rallied fantastically well, and Ben has a super horse with some more mileage on him now, Peppermill a little inconsistent but thats horses. Next year will be crunch time.

Can't take it away from RH though, he is getting some results :D
