A HUGE HUGE well done from me (and im sure from everyone else on here) to KatieJaye who won her Novice Petplan class yesterday with a massive 70% and has qualified for the Winter Championships!!!

He was so super! He was very tense at first just looking at everything googley-eyed but when we got into the warmup I tried to use his over-brimming energy to an advantage! The warm-up was horrible though, so cramped and I started panicking that I couldn't practice my medium trot and medium canter!

For the first time ever he was really so straight and consistent in his head carriage and really moved from behind. I was so pleased with him because he was a bit tense and spooky at first but he really held it together and listened to my legs. He did a stonking medium trot, I've never had one like that from him before, I nearly cried in the middle of my test! In the second medium canter he exploded off my leg and did one stride of gallop (whoops!) but then came back very quickly (thank god!)!

We really did enjoy ourselves and had a fab day out!

Thanks so much everyone! I am going to celebrate tonight after work with a bottle of bubbly. My hubby says he'll treat me to a shopping trip around the stalls at Burghley tomorrow!
