I only knowlingly saw one HHO yesterday - Hi Stencilface!

If you competed, you more than likely saw me and I would have shouted "5-4-3-2-1-GO! Good Luck!!" at you

Yes, I ended up being the Starter. Wine was required afterwards to sooth my worn voice

It was a great day in terms of both competition and weather - wish I'd taken my horse

Did anyone else go, and how did you get on?

Was nice to meet you yesterday, albeit briefly - norman horse seems to gee up near the start for some reason

I enjoyed the course yesterday, had a stop at the mean narrow bank with the ditch in front - mainly because I rode at it like an idiot, and he thought 'well if you're not sure then I'm not' so took the alternative.

Then had a stop on the course when the lady in front (after overtaking after I had my stop

) fell in front of the fence - think the horse propped and spooked? Not sure though. Neither jump judges recorded the time that I had so no idea what my time was for the round, but not really bothered about that given my stop, which I think they were relieved about!

Then took the wimps option at the ski fence over the ditch and did the rest fine but didn't jump out of the water. My horse fell on his face the last time we did that, and I thought I had taken two easy options already, I'm not going to be placed, so took the easy route (that got me elimiated)

Good day though, everybody was very friendly - inc the lovely Morrighan

Looking for pics on the photographers website, so will post a link to those when they go up

hello!i was there on a big dark horse that was being naughty at the start, 3rd to last i think in the open section and also did the pairs with a little chestnut pony. You commented on how matching we were!

I managed to win the open somehow
grin.gif
! knocked the knockdown fence down but he flew around the rest, including bouncing the water and overtaking 2 people.

We came 6th in the pairs aswell! Good day overall! just waiting forthe photos now!

Stencilface - Oh what a pity, I didn't realise you'd got eliminated!

It was nice to meet you and Norman is gorgeous!

Yes, Rebecca's horse jumped well, but did a massive spook at some white gravel and dumped her out of the side door. She was quite annoyed, but they're both fine.

Really glad you enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing the pictures!

Charlotte125 - so you were the matching little & large

I don't remember you starting (if your horse was naughty, he was by no means alone!), but I do remember you finishing!

I didn't see you through the water, but I heard the splash!

You looked a little damp and startled when you came through the finish
grin.gif
. I'm not surprised you did the pairs - your horse was well up for it!

Fantastic result - well done!

I didn't mind about being eliminated, haven't been near solid fences since august, and they were intro sized!

I don't know if I was (didn't look) but I assumed I was

I heard a rumour from a nice gentleman in the warm up, who was wandering around with a radio that the mean ditch/bank fence might be taken out for next year - I'm all for that - big wuss that I am.

Well done Charlotte on the win! I can't seem to find the pics on the website yet, and think I had a dodgy stride to every fence, so will be interesting when I put them up!!
