OK. I have a 12yr old connie gelding. I am considering showing him. He has a splint and a melanoma under his tail.
What could I show him in?
What would this involve?
What would I need?
Thanks in advance!

Ok - if he is a registed Connie, and the right height, you can show him in M&M Large Breeds classes. You will however probably get marked down for the splint (I'm not sure re. the melanoma, so can't comment on that)

If he jumps, you can take him in M&M working hunter classes also.

You would need - a tweed jacket, shirt, contrasting tie (NOT black or white though), cream jods, long boots, and a hat (preferably navy with a leather harness).

The ridden classes involve you walking, trotting and cantering on both reins as a class - you then get lined up, and you have to do an individual show, again showing trot and canter on both reins.

Hope this helps
