Connemara Horses - Where can you buy them

Hi there,

Does anyone know where you can buy Connemara horses, 15h2" and upwards. I'm only 5foot2" so pretty small but I'm experienced and looking to buy one about 5 years old to event. Does anyone out there know where's good to look.

The Connemara Breed Society used to have a page dedicated to overgrown connemaras! Maybe worth checking out - although I think they have updated their website recently. Failing that give the secretary a ring - she will be in the know

Second the Prestwood Farm suggestion - know some good ones have come out of the yard. Also try www.clipcloptaders.co.uk - Emma has started to do over-height connies and she has a great local reputation.

Most irish dealers will have a connie or two and can usually get hold of more.

Chuck at Ride Irish has a couple at the moment he is in Sussex

Thanks for the above. I tried a few at Prestwood farm but they weren't quite right for me, so I will keep looking. Maybe they will have some more in soon, just a shame they are so far away from me.
