I bought my connie a week ago and must get round to sending the passport off.

The last owner registered with both the Connemara Pony Breeders Society and the British Connemara Pony Society although the passport is stamped by the former.

Each organisation requires the passport (and a fee) to be sent to them. Which one do I send to first the CPBS as that's what its currently stamped?

Hi check out the british Connemara pony society web site, they were very help full, when i bought my connie a few months back. I thought it was all too confusing but I sent it off to the lady and she sorted the lot. My pony had a irish passport and the last owner hadn't been entered in it. So yours is probable straight forward.

Congrats - do you have pics?!

I had the same situation as frustrated when i bought my boy, his last registered owner was in Ireland. I sent it to the BCPS. Mine is now stamped by them under the section for CPBS stud book and i have a section in the registered owners saying that the CPBS certfies that he's been entered into the international section of the BCPS stud book so maybe BCPS can sort everything? Might be completly wrong as i don't really understand it all!

Thanks guys - I'll send off to BCPS and hopefully they will sort it :-)

No proper pics Gina as numpty me forgot my camera at the weekend and well its been dark after work the other days. Do have one in the dark one though. Yay I'm back in the connie club and won't ever go to the dark side again

when I changed mine they were very helpful through email aswell. you need to get his/her old owner to sign their transfer of ownership form. I like him/her any more info??
