Connemara x Thoroughbred Stallions

Hi,
I’m looking for a stallion to put my mate to. She’s a very correct 16.1hh thoroughbred mare with the best feet I’ve had on a horse. Good mover, quietest, least spooky horse I have. I’ve always dreamt of breeding her and next summer is looking to be ideal. I’m desperate to put her to a Connemara x Thoroughbred stallion- I’m looking for more blood than crossing her straight with a Connie because as lovely as she is she needs more oomph! Does anyone know of any of these? Ideally in the U.K. or Europe but will consider international for the perfect stallion. They seem to be a rarity though, so any other ideas for crosses are also welcome

Unless you really want to be sure of the height I would go for full Connemara competition stallion. They are more like sports horses and many have competition records for thier progeny in show jumping and eventing and they have plenty of oomph.

we have a tres sangres, three blood stallion 15 2hh i dont compete anymore, he is 18 years old and i ride him all the time, he is pre x anglo arab, he could also be called hispano anglo arab, licenced to breed but i dont have facilities to freeze semen, he can produce 62 1/2 per cent tb from a tb mare, i have a 16 2 hh gelding by him out of a 16 2 hh tb mare,i am vaguely looking for another tb to breed from myself, but may not, he looks quite like a quality connie, just thought i`d mention it as an idea for you to look around for, i`m sure there are other interesting cross bred horses out there to consider

Barrowby have a lot of really nice stallions (imo) standing too. Most, if not all, are registered with the Sport Pony Studbook https://www.barrowbyconnemaras.co.uk/

A bit unothordox, but this stud has a "Paintabian" stallion, might be worth a look for something a bit different. I'm sure the Arab in it would add a bit of jet fuel! https://www.facebook.com/silvabakstud/
