Following up from Murphs Mums thread, do you carry your own contact/yard/NOK/medical details on you when you ride, or does your horse have any ID on its' tack? I once found a saddled horse on the mountain and had no idea who it belonged to, had to resort to phoning up the Police and reporting it as Missing property!

I have med alert Id on myself at all times - anyone in our village would recognise S (we used to part company alot..)

My horses have tags on their saddles and bridles with their names and our home telephone number. I bought them from ebay for £1 each so I ordered 5 for each horse. The local pet shop charges £6 per tag!

I'm going to get disc's put on my saddles and bridles with my name, contact detals on and one with the colleges name an number on it for when I'm there so should I be lying unconcious in a ditch the prosn who's got my horse will be able to phone the college if they can't get hold of me.

Finni has a tag (like one you get for keys, where you write details on) on both saddles.

Having "lost" him in the park last year this seemed a good ides

I always do...I have my contact details, horse details, vet and farrier details, allergies and who to contact in an emergency held in one of those clip on holders you get at exhibitions...one on me and one on horse...you never know...

I've just made some tags up to put on my saddle as I've fallen off a couple of times recently. The new girl runs away when I fall off whereas the others just stand there so it's never seemed some a problem.

I have a tag on my saddle with yard details, horse's name, vet's number & saying "insured, please treat".
