Having run a lovely what i believe to be clear round yesterday , was gutted to find the judge had marked 5 faults for the seesaw , i know my dog made the contacts and also have it on video , apparently judge's decision is final , fair enough but he was quite a way off and behind the seesaw . someone suggested that as my dog jumped off before the seesaw touched the ground this was the reason , having watched numerous dogs run in other rings with diff judges doing exactly the same and not getting faults i'm curious to know why ? , is it just that some judges mark differently ? . seemed harsh , only our 3rd show so got tonnes to learn [ seesaw arriving next week for the garden ] any views appreciated thanks .

Seesaw needs to touch the ground before the dog leaves, so a judge can give 5f if the dog leaves beforehand.

Certainly when I was doing agility the seesaw had to touch the ground as BC and Oenoke have said. It was always considered a safety factor, otherwise you would have dogs flying off the seesaw before it even tipped. :D
