I put a wanted ad on a local horse Facebook group for a nice safety cob. Had a local dealer respond with an ideal sounding mare. Looked at her site and saw and saw she had a nice gelding too. Tried ringing, no reply so FB messaged her back asking her to either ring me or let me know when would be the best time to ring her to discuss. No response.

A few days later adverts for this mare were on the Facebook group so I rang again and left a voice mail and left another face book message. Nearly a week later more adverts for the pony so I left another FB message and voice mail. This morning another advert and people saying how surprised she hasn't gone yet and the advertiser bemoans that no one has been to look yet?

Do you think she doesn't want to sell me this pony??? Shame, she looks a nice sort:(

Seems very odd, can you comment on FB where they are saying shame she's not sold, and say that you have tried unsuccessfully to contact seller? Might prompt seller to respond.

Otherwise move on and look for something else.

If the dealer is whom I think it may be looking at your locality - I would suggest doing a search on here for the stables and name as I think there was some old bad feedback for them.

MMB Would you pm me the dealer, how much budget do you have ? Have you tried Steven Tibbles locally has some nice youngsters over from Ireland but a bit pricey for me.

Hi could be who you are thinking of, specializes in finding 'first' horses. I am aware that there has been some bad feedback, however her facebook is a veritable love in of happy owners - would proceed with caution.....if she ever got back to me.

Have thought about making a comment on her page about no viewers, but think I am going to just give up.

Must be more similar types out there. When we were looking for my daughter in the new year we were moaning that there was nothing suitable for her, but loads that would have been ideal for me (had I been looking). Now I am looking its reversed!

Will do - I have seen some of his (I used to go to school with him - he was a couple of years above me though) - very nice but over my budget and much too sporty! I want a nice sensible plod that I could hack, pretend to school and do very low level RC/local showing with.

Hmm yes sounds like the one. And the pages do ooze that all is great with the sales made. The riders do all ride badly though with hands forcing down at the wither without exception and that leads me to believe they don't really know what they are doing, but heavy hands is my pet hate.

If you are sure they got your messages and have no intentions of buying from them now I think I'd be tempted to comment on their Facebook posts!

Do check that Facebook messages haven't gone in to your 'other' message folder though, I've been caught out with the two inboxes before

Doesn't explain why they can't pick up the phone though

I have been caught out this the 'other' in box too. Not very good at FB. I like nice simple H&H Forum.
