Poor pone been lame again with a hoof abscess. Finally sound but not moving as well as I would like. Diagnosed with navicular changes about 18 months ago and egg bars kept him good till now. Thing is I would try barefoot (will eventually try it at some point) YO says fields are like standing on concrete at the moment. Would it be better to wait until there is a little give in the ground as I know he is going to feel it. I have some hoof boots but he can't wear them 24/7? They are out all the time on average grazing.
