I have someone interested in buying my mini shetland, but wants to loan with view to buy.

Should I have a contract or anything in writing?

Are there any templates I can find online?

BHS has online template for loans, you can change details to make them relevant to you.

Make sure you take copies of their documents, proof of identity and address if it's not someone you know personally.
