A Belongs to xxxx who is over in xxx it did PN in Ireland as a 4YO and has hunted with the xxx so its bound to be a good jumper.

Q What name did it Event under

A I dont know and he may not have competed him inder that name

Q What were PN results

A I dont know I suppose I could ask him

Q What do you mean when you describe himas a Project

A Nothing its just a word I used in the ad

May be a bit inaccurate but it put me right off.

I am not naming names as I dont think that would be fair but I would expect a professional dealer (this is a proper one) to know the facts am I wrong?

im not bashing JM - i just think if your going to sell a horse have the info in front of you - not um and err like this one has.

i would still see the horse as i usually trust my own judgement - but i would feel a little put off if i had that conversation too.

LOL, at least over the phone they're honest that the horse isn't theirs and they know F all about it! IMO you've got just as much chance, if not more, of it turning out to be a cracker than if you go to someone's house to see someone's darling. Lots of pictures and they talk like the sun shines out of the horse's backside. If that were true why are they selling it REALLY???

Don't know if that made sense but I'm totally converted to sticking with shopping at reputable dealers.

No this is a totally different horse I was emaild about recently as I had emaild the dealer last week.

I am not dealer bashing I just want to know if its reasonable to expect them to know more about the horse. I have a couple of very good friends who are dealers and I have been to try their horses too.

Not unreasonable at all. If a dealer told me the horse had PN'd then I would expect them to know the damn horses name!! I wouldn't even go look at the horse after that sort of conversation unless the dealer could supply the required information.
Surely it is just common sense to get as much information about a horse as possible if you are selling it!
