Hi All,

I am looking at changing my cavesson noseband using a flash converter but am unsure how to fit the converter.

Any one point me in the right direction? looked on you tube but couldn't find an explanatory video.

Thanks

Something like this?

Fold it over the noseband in the middle, with the little holes facing downwards.

Thread the flash up through from underneath (start on the near side) through both holes on the near side, then back down through the other side, again through both holes.

That should be it.

ETS: The holes should be clear of the leather in the noseband. If they aren't, then the noseband is too big for the converter.

Yes that's exactly what i am looking at - just couldn't envisage how it would fit

Will print off your response and take it to yard and hopefully put it on right, bit thick when it comes to things like this

Don't worry, once you start doing it, it will make sense! If all else fails I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Once you've got it on you'll be able to slide the buckle around to where you want it. Good luck ;)

Why do you want a flash? My flash had a little bit on nose and the strap went under. I rode for a while in flash as its what he came with but I didnt really know what it did. I found it annoyed him & not sure apart from shut his mouth what it did?? so tried him without and he seemed happier with the freedom and he felt like he was less tight in the mouth etc. I think he was happier without it?
