Sods law, i have just sent off my BD registration forms and what do you know? Im out of action for prob a month if not longer.
I have had an aching back for ages and i sneezed the other week and felt a rip/tear :S (never a good sign!) Probably stupidly of me i rode last weekend as i had a championship i was desperate to compete in, thinking my back from probably muscular.
Unfortunately i have prolapsed two discs in my back and they are affecting the nerves going down my bad leg. I feel so weak on my feet and can barely walk. Due to work commitments i have gone against doctors orders (for now at least) and am still working, but i cannot work out if i am more comfortable sitting or standing, its both agonising!
Im feeling very sorry for myself as it looks like i wont be able to ride for a while. Funnily enough my back feels looser in the saddle then out of it, but i am living in my pro-lite back support (a gods send!) and on 5mg of diazepam four times a day, 60mg of codeine phosphate four times a day and 500mg naproxen twice a day. Luckily i have someone who can exercie my horse, my lovely yard manager but im going to really miss riding her.
I have done overtime this week so allowed home early today to rest as i have work again at 8am.
Please feel sorry for me, the wrong time of the month for all this. I want to cry. Im not over-reacting...lol
cookies.,....anyone?
