Are these still made?! Like Thermatex only much cheaper? I have some wicking leg wraps with cordura outers to stop the wool snagging from a few years back, I'd love to get some more in a larger size but can't find them anywhere!

I bought a secondhand one which looked brand new from Facebook marketplace a few weeks ago, but they are also advertised on ebay, and you can get them brand new, they are part of the Mark Todd range.

For info. The Shires one is very good!
Thank you! I have a Shires one already in a 5'9" which I really like but it doesn't fit as well on my 14hh cob as I'd like - he has a narrower front and a wide bum and it pulls back on his chest and looks too long. We also have the Le Mieux carbon cooler that he came with in a 5'6 but it has always looked too small on him so I never use it!

I'm looking at the Premier Equine one too, just wondering if we should go down a size to 5ft 6 as everyone says the turnouts are bigger? So hard to tell!

No, they are smaller sizes than the turnout! My old boy has one in 6’ whereas he had 5’9 PE turnouts
6’ was his usual rug size

That is useful! It does say on the sizing chart that he should be a 5'6 but after seeing the Le Mieux one on him in that size I'm wary... It has to cover an apple bum after all!

I have the mark todd coolex. Looks smart & does a good job drying as the wet sits on outside like the thermatex. I got from viovet for good price. Use as stable rug in autumn when temp drops a little

PE quick dry wraps are nice, although the small hangs off my 15.2... the thermatex-style rug is nice (they all have them, in their normal sizes). Usually 20% code floating around somewhere online.

Ruffles also do wicking rugs/wraps, although I haven't got them so can't comment on fit or quality.

I just bought a couple of the MT Coolex rugs, they were almost half price and no matter where I looked it was limited sizes so I did wonder if they are no longer made? Lovely rugs though. Really, really pleased I bought them!

My cob has a lot of bone, so maybe I should try the medium first before I get a second pair for his hinds... They have to fit one pair, surely! ?

Oops, I meant Ruggles, not Ruffles ??

My mare inherited her quick dry wraps from the Welsh (who has a reasonable amount of feather) - I think medium is probably the right approach for a cob but maybe a trial pair first ? I'm sure medium will fit SOMEWHERE, whether it's front or hind!

Aha!! Just managed to bag myself a set of four large Coolex wraps nearly new on FB marketplace!!! So at least I'll have two sets of fronts and backs!

Still interested in the Premtex ones though... Might put them on my santa list!
