readigrass is intended as a hay replacer as is haylage. There are alot of products you can add into the feed to help ease breathing problems and also products you can use just before you ride to open up the airway. What management system are you using at the moment..ie does your horse live in or out.If in what bedding do you use? The best management is to keep the horse out as much as possible but if in then keep the environment as dust free as possible ideally in a nice airy stable where the dust from other stables will not affect him.

I wouldn't use a haynet personally (I don't anyway but not because my horse has a medical problem).

It would probably be better to feed on the floor and prevent dust falling into the airways and let mucus drain downwards.

Hi spike123 I manage a horse with an allergic condition but I was interested in the product you mentioned for before riding. I have tried some in the past which haven't been that sucessful and I wondered if you could recommend or know of any good products?

rather than just giving you the names of products I thought you may find this link very interesting. It is a scientific study of different products used for different breathing disorders in horses and lists the most effective products they tested.Hopefully this will help you decide which would best suit your horse.
