Looking for recommendations for cordless clippers to do a full clip.
My friend was interested in possibly buying Lister Showman/ Liberty which are the ones that I have, but they don’t seem to be made anymore. She hasn’t clipped for a number o& years so is looking for some that will be easy to use. I’m guessing that 5hey are all prett6 much the same in that respect , but mentioning just in case I’m wrong and some are easier to use than others!

I recently bought Liverymany Harmony plus. I normally pay to have my mare clipped but I managed a reasonable full clip with them today.

Thanks for all the suggestions- I’ll pass them on. If anyone has any other thoughts I’d be interested to know. Thanks again ☺️

I’ve just got Liveryman phoenix but haven’t used them yet. They feel quite well balanced compared to some of the other battery pack clippers. Can’t comment on their clipping ability as not used yet (will report back when I’ve had chance to)

Masterclip hd roamers- great clippers, pretty loud but sturdy and decent battery life, mine have done blanket clips aplenty and also been used to dag sheep with the livestock blades.

I have lister liberty, didn't realise they weren't made any more, they are good. If you can buy a new battery I'd buy some used on ebay.

I bought the Oneisall horse (dog!) clippers for £50 from amazon just to desensitise my horse. They are incredibly powerful and I just ended up using them to do a full clip. Took a while but they coped perfectly. Only fine blades though.

Update: have now used the clippers & liked them. Was just a reclip so not a true test of their power but felt well balanced, leave a good finish (which I was worried about as others I’ve borrowed/ that others have done him with have seemed to not manage quite as nice a one as my struggling Wolseley’s) , get into most awkward places (did use my trimmers for elbows as pony not the most helpful for this) and one battery did the full thing. Gave them a few little breaks whilst I faffed with trimmers but didn’t get excessively hot at any point. Not overly loud for a full size clipper & low vibration. Oh and they seemed to blow slightly less hair all over me than others I’ve used. Their lack of wrist strap worries me a bit though as I’m definitely clumsy enough to drop them!
