I am going to give corn oil a go, I have heard some good things about it. To be honest I have never used it before so have no idea how much to feed. So can any of you other corn oil users give me some advice on how much to feed my boy, and what results you have seen. I mainly want to use it for condition.
Thanks in advance.

My girl has corn oil in her feed - a bit more than a glug which is probably not enough. She has this as she has tied up in the past - this is her with a little more 'condition' than I'd like.

Perhaps you should PM TGM as she seems to know loads about feeding - I always find her advice useful.

I fed it to both of ours after our old boy tied up at the beginning of the year. You can buy a big can (don't know how many litres) from asda about £7.

I gave them both a couple of gluggs. They loved it. :)

I love love love corn oil!!! My farrier loves me using it too - I feed them a good glug in their feed and also paint it on their hooves. People always comment on their shiny coats and their feet are brilliant, my cob goes barefoot behind and it's thanks to corn oil. Cheap, not animal derived and it gets results!! Go for it!!

p.s. If anyone knows of anywhere they sell it in bulk please let me know as can no longer find huge bottles in the supermarkets...

Thank you everyone so much, yes we got ours from asda too for about that price. Will drop TGM a message also, thanks again guys :-)

Asda sell larger cans than I bought. Don't look near all the cooking oils etc, I found it near the gluten free and specialist foods.

Interesting about improving their feet too. My start ours back on it. I would love to shoe just fronts but don't think Micks feet would take it.
