Hi, does anybody have any experience of this? My 18yr old Sec A pony looks like he has bleeding coronary bands on his two hinds. They're not actually bleeding but look a dark red colour. He's not lame. He had a trim yesterday and farrier said there's no sign of laminitis but a sudden change in diet can cause this? He's not had a change and I've never seen it before. I do have pics but no idea how to add from phone??

My white footed mini has pink coronets every summer. They never bother her and she is solid on her feet. I'm not happy to see it, but I'm reassured that your farrier says there is no lami. I wonder how many horses with dark feet are the same but you can't see it?

Does yours grow pointed toes ?

That's interesting because his hinds are both white but his front hooves are dark. Yes he does grow quite pointy toes.
