What is the correct outfit (horse and rider) for children to wear hunting(11 yrs old). Especially should it be a navy jacket or tweed?

Tweed and coloured stock, beige jods and black long boots (or boots and chaps if they are matching). And lots and lots of layers as it gets very cold.
Horse should be plaited now as I think all hunts have had their opening meet.

Tweed jacket with shirt and tie is also an acceptable option for kids. Mine always go out with their PC ties on. We too only have tweed jackets.

Ditto above, coloured stock and tweed jacket (no velvet collar preferably) or PC tie and badge, beige jods with black boots/chaps, and dark plain gloves. My daughter (9) wears her back protector over her jacket as it doesn't fit underneath and unfortunately it is navy checked so not too smart but it is obviously there for a reason so nobody minds. And a pet hate of mine is hair blowing all over the place so don't forget hairnets on girls! Many people don't plait kids' ponies after the opening meet but if you can at least get the mane done then that's excellent. And under the saddle, a dark plain numnah if required... Hope you have lots of fun and don't forget Mars Bars in pockets! x
