Correct Dress for Inhand showing Class

Beagler or trilby, neither is compulsory but it is more correct to wear a hat, besides you dont want to be having a bad hair day and having to run round a ring!!!

It is correct to have some sort of head covering every time you enter a ring, be it on board or in hand. All the judges, stewards and grooms should also follow this rule. Welshie showing is slightly different and I would imagine arabs are as well, but everyone else ought to wear a hat!
Waistcoat and shirt/tie are fine, or wear a jacket - depends on the weather really.

it depends on the breed. A beagler is better for showing horses and their younstock, but for natives it's usually beter to wear something else ie bowler.
Waistcoat, shirt, tie are fine , and trousers that are different from horses legs ie beige for a horse with dark points, or dark for a horse with light legs is 'correct'.
