Hey All,

First post so dont rip me for my lame ass question

I have my first show this evening and was intending on wearing a tweed hacking jacket with beige breeches, white shirt and tie, and of course mmy black velvet hat and black long leg boots with oxford tops.

I've been told that i should wear a stock collar instead off a tie, is this correct, How come i see others at such shows with just a normal wing collar shirt and hunting tie?

Feed back required urgently.

Im loading up in 3 hours.

I think you'll be fine in a regullar shirt and tie for unaffliated, its all I wear, although the unaffliated shows local to me seem a bit anything goes to a degree so long as you look reasonably smart. Good luck anyway...

Unaff SJ'ing you'd get away with jeans and trainers....never mind a tie

No....you'll be fine in what you're planning to wear

Not where I come from you wouldn't!

I have noticed more recently that the dress standard for unaff is slipping. I always used to call people up who weren't dressed properly, but it happens so frequently now that I would be inundated with riders in the judges box, if I called everyone up who wasn't dressed properly.

The other week, I had someone in the ring who had on blue jogging bottoms and a football shirt - I did call her up!

Affiliated, dress code is nearly always respected.
