Looking to show my yearling ID x TB filly this summer in a couple of young stock classes so just wondering if someone can advise me on turnout.

For the filly I think I'll opt for an in-hand bridle rather than a filly slip so that it will last her longer and also offer the option of more control if needed. Is it correct to have a plain, flat nose/browband or are raised ones/ones with fancy stitching allowed? (struggling to find a plain flat one!)

For myself I'm currently on the hunt for a smart green tweed jacket as my grey/blue one is looking a bit scruffy. As the filly is dark I know I should have light-coloured trousers but I was wondering if I'd be ok in beige jodhpurs and smart brown jodhpurs boots?

It can depend on the show to be honest Sports horses are sometimes shown in white browbands with a white lead rein on a leather in hand bridle. But personally I prefer leather brow band and nose band with a slightly raised contour but if the horse has a biggish head then the ideal is a broad flat noseband and browband. So you see it is a bit of preference really. Sometimes they are shown with handlers in white too but it again looks better in my view with a nice turnout as per a hunter. Trimmed and pulled to within an inch of its life and tiny plaits seem to be the order of the day too.
You will find lots of examples here http://www.britishbreeding.org/home.aspx

Please don't wear jodhpurs, trousers are the form.
