Hello

Not sure if I have posted in the correct section....also in vet section, sorry

I was just wondering if anyone has had or knows of any horses that have had mechanical pelvis problems helped by corrective shoeing? (not extreme just minor is fine).

If so can I please get the details and if people know of any reasons why this cannot be done I would be interested too.

Thanks very much

What is wrong with the horse? How long has it had a problem? What is the vet suggestion? How does the horse move? There is a lot of information missing before i could even begin to see where you hope shoeing would help with pelvic problems.

The Tuber Sacrale is located right at the top of the pelvis and unless this has effected the feet in any shape or form you can only really shoe to mimic the wear pattern as this would keep the horse comfortable. Perhaps lateral extentions.

But how exactly is the horse effected? is its gait effected at all? Is it on box/field rest? Is it sound?
