I'm a bit confused by all the blurb so can anyone tell me if there is any different in strength please.

Also has anyone tried this in conjunction with Super-Fen?

Thank you

I think they are the same, I use the liquid as I have a good doer and he only needs a small amount of feed and with his other supplement it was getting a bit gritty! However I have been hunting on the net and have discovered Premierflex from Equine Answers, higher content of all the same ingredients at a fraction of the price, going to try it when our bottle of Cortaflex HA runs out. I don't know what Super-Fen is, off to google it....

Oh its like a bute alternetive...I just stick to bute, he gets half a sachet a day and that keeps him comfortable (mild arthritic changes in one fetlock). Does Super-Fen work?

Thanks for your replies EllieBelly1, I haven't actually tried Super-Fen yet so I thought I'd give it a go. I came across it whilst looking at vetrofen and EquineAmerica stuff is usually quite good so I'd rather try it than the vetrofen.

With regards to Premierflex I think the thing with cortaflex is that the molecule size is much smaller, so regardless of the ingredients more of it gets absorbed. I'll try the liquid because I didn't think of the gritty thing - thank you :)

There is a question mark over whether or not feeding glucosamine has any beneficial effect. There are no true blind tests that suggest that there is. Even the well known company who stated in their ads that there had been were made to remove those ads by the ASA.

I also don't like the fact that glucosamine is in general from either shellfish, shark fin or cows, I don't want to feed any of those things to my horses!

I have started feeding Litovet, it is made by the same people who make Kalms and Olbas Oil. It is made from rosehips and I felt that a horse is much more likely to eat those that prawn shell tbh. I have two of my horses on it, one longer than the other and I have def noticed a difference.

Apparently they have run double blind tests (so my retailer told me!) but I can't see anything on the website about it.
