Does anyone have a horse with a clicky knee/leg joint, as I have just started to use liquid Cortaflex HA for my gelding and I was wondering what others use. I have tried Equiflex. Anyone use Cortaflex HA and did it do any good?
I have a newish horse with similar problem, more of a locking stifle but his joints have been clicking too. My OH (Vet) told me to start him off on Cortaflex HA along with lots of heavy muscle builing work, I have been using it now for 2 months and the 'clicking' has reduced dramatically. Cortaflex is actually scientifically proven!!
A good product used with a mare that had high ringbone and spavins in booth hinds........have used the human Cortaflex HA on me for my knee through Winter, and was very impressed...only prob I had was trying to swallow the large capsules!
I have a big warmblood gelding - 14 years and I have recently put him on HA together with their Devils Claw liquid - Butefree or Buteless - the difference in him is amazing. He was coming into the school almost lame and noddy - he is now working fine - although I do warm him up for longer in walk - used to be about 10 mins - but now more like 15-20 - I tried lots of other supplements - but this one seems to work - although is expensive - but worth it if I can continue competing.
My wb had a clicky neck and he is a big lad and does dressage(sort of) so I put him on Cortaflex as a general supplement for him. It took a while but his neck no longer clicks so imo it's worth the money.
My instructor just recommended the Equimins(SP?) flexijoint supplement for my old man - said it was half the price of cortaflex and she says she has seen a great difference with it - they even offer a money back guarantee if you don't see any difference. Thought I'd give it a shot for a while
