Daft question, but just wondering the likely cost of getting a girth shortened by a an inch or so on each side?

Long story, but if its likely to cost a lot, I'm probably better off just getting a new girth

Would depend on the type of girth and amount of work involved. The lady in my local tack shop rarely charges more than £10 for alterations if no new bits are needed.

Cheers, it will probably literally involve unpicking some stitching, cutting a bit of leather off, and resetting the elastic back into the leather

I have shorten girths but only my own, it's not something I would do for a customer - I'm not going to take a risk remodelling something which "load bearing" where I don't have control over how much it is tightened.
