As title really.

Just curious as to what livery yard owners pay in liability insurance on average, the company you use, and why, what influence the cost of insurance (number of horses at livery, etc.), the difference between doing pure DIY and offering services where you handle client's horses & give lessons.

Ball park is fine, just trying to get a feel for how much one would have to bring in to start making a profit on just 5 - 8 liveries.

Many thanks

I'm with KBIS. Even though I only have a friend's horse at my house I needed small livery yard public liability insurance. It is £280ish for up to 6 horses public liability only or if I was to provide any care services or handle the horse at all I would need to top it up to include care, custody and control insurance. For up to 6 horses for public liability and care, custody and control was around £450 (I can't remember the exact amount)

I pay around 500 a year. This is for public liability and care custody and control. I also teach so am on bhs reg of instructors for ibsurance
