Sorry if this has been done to death before! How much do ppl pay for lessons, freelance instructor where they come out to you? And what discipline and level are the instructors?

Thankies!

£30 for 45 mins. She comes to me cos I've got an arena at home. List 3 dressage judge, not sure re quals but has competed to at least 3* eventing & GP dressage.

It's fab cos it saves getting the lorry out & traipsing off somewhere.

I used to pay £20 an hour and she came to me.
Im going to start having lessons with a lady down the road, she's got a brand new sand school and new jumps for £15 an hour!!
Or I can hire it out for £7.50 an hour!!

We must be at the cheaper end of the country lol!!

Last time I had lessons was at the yard I worked on - and the lady charged £50 for 45 mins

She was supposed to be a top dressage/showing person, but failed to notice my horse was lame (as did I, but I dont profess to be a pro), so not sure how good she actually was..

Well I've found someone who is a good dressage instructor (I think a few ppl on here have recommended her before), and she is charging 40 for half hour, but I am just under 10 miles away from her each way which she has taken into account.

I paid 20 for half hour with one lady a cpuple of times but tbh I didn't like the way she taught and felt she overlooked quite a few errors on my part and it wound up making things worse!

May get a second job lol!

I used to pay £25 for an hour when an instructor came to me. She had jumped affiliated for 3 years before competing 3* eventing for another couple of years. Then had a baby girl and decided to teach instead

My instructor is a BHS AI... I think. Shes not much older than me maybe 22. Still learning and taking her teaching exams. She competes bsja to quite a high level so specialises in jumping but at the mo we do 30mins flat and 30mins jump. £25 an hour. Would be £20 but cuz im a bit out of her way to travel to I gotta give her some petrol money.

I pay £35 an hour and she's about 30 miles away (she recently moved, used to be about 10 miles) she's a BHSI and and has competed internationally to top level in dressage and eventing. She's totally brill and about to go on maternity GRRRRRRRR

but she lets me send videos so can can give me a hard time over the phone

we are very lucky - £15 for 30 minutes with BHSI. Downside is she is very busy so can only come out to us once a month. She does not charge petrol money (yet!!).

I pay £30 for an hour for a side saddle lesson. She is BHSI qualified and comes to me. Before I had my side saddle restored this included the hiring of the side saddle, so very lucky.
